    RECENT PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

    Educator.   Revitalized the Architectural CADD program by evaluating all text and related materials.  Eliminated obsolete materials and implemented new and up-to-date materials.  Revived hands-on classes in building construction and drafting.  Improved overall graduation rate by 20%.

    Evaluation.  Efforts of a first year program, involving the Manufacturing Resource Office and Manufacturing Small Business Development Center, resulted in a savings of Direct Dollar Impact to the State of Ohio for $17,974,100.00.  Was directly responsible for saving 69 jobs and creating an additional 43 jobs.  Was named the "Fast Start" Center of the year and awarded "Director of the Year" and "MSBDC Counselor of the Year".

    Consulting.  Visited 92 companies in 14 months, resulting in 227 instances of technical assistance.  Variety of technical assistance included machinery search, evaluation and acquisition; product design; facility expansions, new plant design, product design, World Class Manufacturing methods; literature searches; operations management; process flow; cell manufacturing; quick die change overs; human resources and management; training and education; maintenance management; scheduling; inventory control; Quality Control; Quality Manuals; QS-9000; ISO-9002; OSHA; EPA; General Manufacturing; Assessments; Bar Coding; Strategic Planning; Recycling; Packaging and Shipping.

    SELECTED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

    Project Management.
    Simultaneously managed numerous capital projects, successfully creating opportunities to save an average of $1.3M annually.  These projects covered nearly all aspects of industrial and manufacturing functions, including product design.

    Restructuring. Restructured production department, saving $200K annually, by eliminating 4 of 6 previously required passes in manufacturing 420,000 units monthly.  Also restructured entire plant by introducing CAD, MRP, and JIT.

    Environmental.  Developed a salvage program that saved $1.06M by practically eliminating "off fall" of the product.  Created an innovative team approach to a controversial recycling problem which reduced annual disposal costs from $192K to $18K per year and actually generated revenue of $80K annually from the recycled product.

    Design.  Designed an original universal material crate with properties of single handling, self-supported stacking, multiple unit divisibility, collapsible for storage, and 4 direction accessibility, eliminating the need for multiple material handling.  Helped design UPC Scanner, receiving 2 patents and completely revolutionizing the world with bar coding.  Have also designed numerous architectural products, such as wood, vinyl and aluminum doors and windows, and many commercial and residential buildings.

    Quality.  Designed and implemented a "commonsense" total quality program by organizing three teams of employees, consisting of labor, supervisors and management, that reduced 127 quality issues to 8 within 9 months.  Also increased production by 38% and kept plant from shutting down by training 50 people to quickly identify and reject defects in vendor workmanship, catching it before it made it to production.

    Manufacturing.  Designed cell manufacturing methods that involved material, tool and equipment selection.  Improved facility usage by reducing need to purchase additional space and increased production by 48%, while maintaining same personnel.  Set up training programs to implement manufacturing processes, including world class manufacturing methods.
